“I’m very much looking forward to the hustings,” says Richard Foord. “It’s important that people have the opportunity to ask questions of those who are asking for their vote. And it’s a great opportunity for everyone to come together to discuss the issues that are important to them.”

The Liberal Democrat, Labour, Green and independent candidates have all confirmed that they will participate in the hustings. Conservative candidate Liam Fox appears to have taken a leaf out of Theresa May’s book and has not yet taken up his invitation to attend.

Anybody wishing to submit questions to be posed to the candidates can email them to james.pennington@htnailsea.org.uk.
