Wendy has a middle management portfolio on the council that includes

  • Chair of the Children and Young People’s Scrutiny Panel
  • Chair of the School Organisation Group
  • Member of Adult Services and Housing Policy Scrutiny Panel

Wendy's work on the council isn't the only way she serves the local community. She is also an active member of a range of community organisations in the ward where she has lived for 40 years.

  • Parish Councillor
  • Governor at Yatton Schools, currently Safeguarding Governor.
  • Chair of the Childrens’ Centre
  • Member of PACT
  • Member of Yatton Village Hall Committee
  • Trustee for the Durban Trust and Keysteps

Wendy enjoys helping people in the community and supporting local events and hopes that people feel she is approachable when they need help. She works hard for Yatton all year round, not just at election times.

For Wendy, the most important thing about Politics IS people. Wendy says

"I am really enjoying my role on the council. The work with officers to bring about positive change to Children and Young People is very rewarding.

"My ward work is varied and interesting and I am keeping to my election promise to make a difference in Yatton Ward."
