We Need Better Bus Links

Local campaigner Bernadette Morgan has launched a campaign to fight for better bus links for our villages.

In communities like ours, there aren't enough services. We need buses to connect our village centres to Portishead and Clevedon. It can take nearly two hours to get to Clevedon from Easton-in-Gordano, with a bus change, whereas by car it takes around 20 minutes.

Bernadette Morgan said: "We need real alternatives to cars, especially for people who don't have a choice, such as young and less mobile people. For most of our villages, catching the bus means a twenty-minute walk down busy main road, sometimes without a pavement, to the nearest bus stop, which is impossible for some, and unacceptable for all."
