Janey Little announced as North Somerset MP candidate for the Liberal Democrats

The Liberal Democrats are delighted to announce that Janey Little has been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the North Somerset constituency.

The Liberal Democrats are winning across Somerset and the West Country, and Janey hopes to bring that energy and momentum to North Somerset.

Janey grew up and went to school in Clevedon, where she first joined the party. She is now working towards an accounting qualification, after completing her postgraduate studies in international public policy last year.

Janey is calling for urgent action to reduce the cost of living, improve access to healthcare, and protect the environment.

Janey Little, Liberal Democrat candidate for North Somerset, said:

“I am proud to be from North Somerset and I am committed to standing up for our communities.”

“We have been taken for granted by the Conservatives for too long, Labour have let us down, and I am frightened by the rise of Reform UK. Trust in our politics is broken.”

“The rise of hatred, division, and populism threaten the very foundations of what I believe in: community, democracy, equality, and human rights. We need to show courage, rebuild trust, and prove that we can create a politics that puts listening first and offers real solutions.”
